5 Fun and Easy Activities You Can Do With Your Kids

  • Make the face of your puppet on the cardboard paper.
  • Draw eyes, lips, and nose and a line at the center for the mouth.
  • Color it and then cut it with the scissors.
  • Cut the line so the face will split into two halves.
  • Make the hair of the puppet with yarn and glue it on the upper half of the face. You can also stick googly eyes to create a more funny and lively puppet.
  • Affix upper part of the face on one side of the clothespin and the lower part on the other side. You can easily open and close the mouth of the puppet by pinching both the ends of the clothespin.

Stony Snowman

Creating cute little snowmen with your kids is definitely a fun activity. To make a snowman out of pebbles, you'll need pebbles, acrylic paints, and acrylic paint pens. You can also use a paintbrush if you don't have paint pens. With these three things, you can turn not-so-attractive pebbles into cute miniature snowmen that don’t melt away.

  • Paint your pebbles white using white acrylic paint and let them dry.
  • Once dried, draw the face, buttons, muffler, hands, and any other details you want in your snowman.
  • Kids can mix and match the pebbles to make a snowman of their choice.

Animated Masks

Looking for an easy, mess-free, and creative activity for your kids? An animated mask might be the way to go. It is one of the cheapest crafts because for making masks, you'll only need printed designs, elastic, and a punching machine. Plus, this is such a great art you can do with your kids whenever you're having a party at home!

  • Let the kids choose their favorite designs, be it a unicorn, sugar skull, dog, or any other cartoon.
  • Print them out on some heavyweight paper. If you'll use regular paper there are chances that the masks will get torn up easily.

Fire-breathing Dragon

This is such a fancy looking craft but the things required for it are simple. The supplies you'll need for making a fire-breathing dragon are:

  • Toilet paper roll
  • Pom poms (2 large ones and 2 small ones)
  • Googly eyes
  • Tissue roll
  • Construction paper
  • Scraps of colorful tissue paper preferably red, orange, and yellow.

Follow these steps to make a beautiful fire-breathing dragon:

  • Glue the construction paper over the tissue roll.
  • Take bigger pom poms and attach the googly eyes on both. Eyes of the dragon are ready to be glued on the paper roll.
  • Glue small pom poms on the roll for nostrils of the dragon.
  • For fire, cut the colorful tissue paper lengthwise and glue them inside the paper roll.
  • Put your mount at the end opposite to the flames and blow a breath, the fire will come out of your dragon's mouth.
